 Dear Friends,
I feel myself fortunate enough to be involved with Nabarun Seva Niketan for a prolonged span of more than three decades. We feel ourselves blessed for being able to stand by thousands of the distressed women and neglected children we’ve helped. We are entirely devoted in this mission and believe on our outright ability to bring sustainable change in the lives of local people. During last three decades our efforts have been multidisciplinary like women empowerment through SHG promotion, livelihood training and economic activities for neglected women, sponsorship programme for needy older persons, awareness generation in the society on various fatal issues, providing community healthcare in preventive and in curative aspects and many other areas. During the recent past thrust area of our work has been the preprimary and primary education for the needy children and development of a self sustainable Eye Hospital. The eye patients of our area have been deprived of getting ultramodern ophthalmic treatment due to non-availability of a standard Eye Hospital, caused blindness of thousands of cataract patients. In order to make modern ophthalmic treatment accessible to the poor rural mass, Nabarun Seva Niketan has developed a modern eye hospital viz. Nabarun Eye Care Center.
During last thirty-five years, with a network of our dedicated volunteers and trained staff members ,our organization has covered 466 villages and has implemented 96 numbers of projects funded by different funding bodies . I gratefully recognize the support of all our donors in this community service and development process. As we have moved closer to achieve our goal, the true reward we get is in serving more poverty stricken families to come out from the vicious cycle of poverty and enable them to grow up with the support they need to become healthy, educated and self-reliant. Let us join hands together and march forward with greater strength and solidarity.
